Our cleaning soap is a truly unique product, and we are proud of it. The product is made from raw soap and demineralized water. Normal tap water contains salts, limescale, and minerals that can damage your furniture over time. To maintain the natural beauty and longevity of your indoor wood, regular care is essential – micare cleaning soap is ideally suited for this purpose. It not only cleans effectively but also forms a protective film against everyday wear and tear and dirt, helping to preserve the wood's original appearance and quality in the long run.

How to clean and care for your indoor wooden furniture:

Before you begin, make sure you have the following ready:

• micare care soap
• A well-wrung microfiber cloth
• micare abrasive sponge grit 180

1. Moisten the enclosed Oeko-Tex certified sponge and wring it out lightly so that it is not dripping wet.
2. Apply plenty of soap to the sponge and lather it up in your hand.
3. Work the soap foam into the wood in circular motions for cleaning.
4. Rinse the sponge as needed and repeat step 1. When no more dirt comes off the sponge, the item is clean.
5. Allow the soap to penetrate the wood for a few minutes.
6. If any soap residue remains on the surface after treatment, remove it with the well-wrung microfiber cloth. The wood must now dry completely. At room temperature, this takes about 24 hours.

If the wood is very dry and absorbent, an additional layer of protective and nourishing soap foam can be applied. To achieve saturation with soap, repeat the process, but this time apply the rich soap foam lightly in the direction of the wood grain. If any soap foam remains after treatment, wipe it off with the well-wrung microfiber cloth.

For wood exposed to water, the fibers may rise. These can be easily sanded down with a micare abrasive sponge grit 180, available on our website. It is important to sand in the direction of the wood grain. Our abrasive sponges can be rinsed and reused multiple times.

With regular soap treatment, the fibers will no longer rise, and a protective soap layer will form on the treated item, preventing liquids and dirt from penetrating the wood.

For daily cleaning, remove dust and crumbs with a dry cloth. For spilled food, dab a dry sponge with soap and wipe in the direction of the wood grain. Allow wet wood to dry completely before placing items on it, otherwise, marks in the form of moisture stains may appear. Ideally, allow it to dry for an hour, or even better, overnight.
