Caring for your polyrattan garden furniture

Poly rattan garden furniture, also known as PE rattan, is highly sought after for its elegant appearance. Poly rattan combines the natural aesthetic of rattan with low maintenance requirements. However, prolonged exposure to UV radiation, aggressive chemicals, cleaning agents and tools, as well as severe frost, can impair the flexibility and durability of the material. Excessive moisture can lead to mould or rot. Micare cleaning soap cleans gently and, due to its high fat content, leaves an invisible protective layer. Using micare cleaning soap is sufficient to effectively and gently clean and care for poly rattan, protecting the furniture, the environment, and your skin.

How to clean and care for your poly rattan garden furniture:

Before you begin, you should gather the following:

micare cleaning soap, lukewarm water, a medium-hard brush, a microfibre cloth, a wiping cloth

  • Remove dust and sand from the surface with a soft cloth or brush (alternatively, rinse the furniture with a garden hose).

  • Moisten the piece of furniture and apply micare cleaning soap to the front and back of the furniture.

  • Work the soap into the furniture in circular motions to ensure all dirt is loosened. Let the cleaning soap sit for about 10 minutes to loosen algae and other dirt.

  • Scrub with a medium-hard brush.

  • Rinse the brush or cloth with clean water as needed and continue cleaning until all dirt is completely removed.

  • Then rinse off the dirt and soap residue.

We hope you enjoy your beautiful poly rattan furniture.
