Cleaning and care for your shoes

All other shoe care products suddenly become superfluous. Shoes made of leather, suede, synthetic leather, rubber, and plastic are gently and effectively cleaned with micare cleaning soap. Regular cleaning and care can extend the lifespan of your shoes and boots by many years. This is a sustainable decision for the environment, as fewer new shoes will need to be purchased. With a few simple care measures, you can ensure that your shoes and boots not only look stylish but also remain comfortable and fulfill their purpose for many years.

How to clean and care for your shoes:

Before you begin, you should have the following ready:

micare cleaning soap – lukewarm water – a medium-hard brush – microfiber cloth.

  1. First, dip the dry sponge directly into the cleaning soap and gently wipe the dirty areas of the shoe with the sponge.
  2. Rinse the sponge if necessary, wring it out, and dip it back into the soap.
  3. Apply the soap to the entire shoe, including the outside of the sole.
  4. Rubber soles can be cleaned with a scrubbing brush, an old toothbrush, or the rough side of a scouring pad.
  5. Soles can be cleaned with a little water on the sponge. However, leather soles should not be rinsed with water. Wipe off excess soap and dirt with a microfiber cloth.

Note: Dirty shoelaces can be washed with micare cleaning soap. If the dirt cannot be removed this way: New shoelaces cost about 25 DKK. If you want to buy new shoelaces, you only need to know the number of holes on one side (in this case, 7) or measure the total length:

  • For 3 shoelace holes, your shoelaces should be 70 cm long.
  • For 4 holes - 90 cm.
  • For 5 holes - 110 cm.
  • For 6-7 holes - 130 cm.
