Leather is a durable material that, with proper care, can bring joy for many years. Regular maintenance is important to preserve its color, suppleness, and resistance to daily wear and tear. With micare care balm, you can impregnate your leather items and prevent moisture from penetrating the leather and damaging it. In addition, it helps prevent the leather from drying out and losing its natural beauty.

Since the care balm becomes soft and pliable when warm, we recommend processing and storing it at room temperature (20-25 degrees Celsius).

How to impregnate your leather items: It is crucial that the micare Multi Surface Care Balm is applied in a wafer-thin layer. Imagine a flower that ABSOLUTELY needs water: without water, it dries out, but too much water makes it drown. Similarly, leather can also be over-treated. Therefore, it is important to work with the care balm at room temperature and apply only as much as the leather can absorb and needs.

Before you begin, you should have the following ready: micare Multi Surface Care Balm and possibly micare care soap if cleaning is required.

• The item to be treated should be clean and dry.
  
  
• It is advisable to clean the leather with micare care soap, which we recommend for leather care. The moisture from the soap nourishes the leather. Wait about an hour before applying the Multi Surface Care Balm.
  
  
• Since the color can darken, we recommend testing it first on an inconspicuous area.
  
  
• Dip the clean and dry sponge into the care balm a few times and wipe off any excess balm on the rim.
  
  
• Then work the care balm into the leather in circular motions. It is better to apply less care balm than too much. Note: NO layer of the Multi Surface Care Balm should be visible on the leather; it should be absorbed immediately.
  
  
• The Multi Surface Care Balm also helps retain moisture in the leather. So, if your leather is extremely dry, it may be beneficial to clean/condition it with the care soap before applying the care balm. Now the furniture can be used again.

In general, leather furniture should be treated twice a year. In special cases where the furniture is exposed to drafts, direct sunlight, or very high temperatures, additional treatment may be required.

The treatment is suitable for leather items such as: Chairs, sofas, car seats made of leather, ottomans, loungers, coasters, leather shoes/boots, oilskin jackets, wallets, bags, leather-bound books, saddles, bridles, riding boots, hunting boots, football boots, sneakers, leather trousers, leather jackets, etc.

micare Multi Surface Care Balm is not suitable for suede and Alcantara. For some nubuck qualities that have a fine surface and resemble smooth leather, or for extremely dry leather, a care balm can be applied. We ALWAYS recommend testing first on an inconspicuous area.

Please note that the Multi Surface Care Balm can transform nubuck leather into smooth leather.
